To the Editors:
Readers of my review of Jim Bakker's book I Was Wrong [NYR, May 29] may be interested to know that Bakker's Hendersonville, North Carolina, attorney and friend, Jim Toms, was sentenced on May 12 to fifteen and a half years in prison. He had earlier confessed to having embezzled more than a million dollars from his clients.
