Teaching the Unteachable

To the Editors:

Two kinds of children are deprived in the same way. In a brief period of teaching in the Houston public schools, one group of them, one of the school's norm, and one of its gifted, I applied Kohl's absolutely correct approach to all three, They responded first, the gifted next, the norm (with one or two exceptions) could not at all.
