Florence

By Gabriella Befani Canfield, Camilla Pecci Blunt McGrath, Maria Teresa Cini Train

To the Editors:

Florence has just suffered the gravest natural disaster in its history.

Many of the ordinary people are suffering desperately. Some have lost everything. Immediate and generous help is needed.

Give what you can to alleviate their misery. Checks should be made payable to "Florentine Relief Fund, Inc.," a New York membership corporation now being organized, and mailed to Room 1906-A, 375 Park Avenue, New York, N.Y. 10022. The Internal Revenue Service is being asked to rule that contributions are tax deductible. Checks will not be cashed until a satisfactory ruling is received.
