In response to Two Poets* (November 28, 1963)

To the Editors:

Please! explain me the metaphysics of G. S. Fraser's reviewing two books of poetry at the same time. "The two poets," says your critic, "resemble each other in a number of ways, though they contrast in ways that are more important." I suppose that could be said of many a pair in the world. One way in which I suspect that they resemble each other is that both must be furious at being treated this way.
