The Fruits of the MLA: II. Mark Twain from the October 10, 1968 issue

To the Editors:

In your October 10 issue Edmund Wilson, within moments of chiding Mr. Tuckey for errata on pages 168, 202, and 339 of his edition of Mark Twain’s Which Was the Dream?, refers to one of Twain’s old biographers as Albert Payson Terhune. Can we assume that he means Albert Bigelow Paine, whose three volume work on Twain appeared in 1912?
