To the Editors:

In your issue of March 1, 1984, you refer to me as President of the Society for Applied Science. "Applied Science" should read Applied Philosophy.

London, England

To the Editors:

V.S. Pritchett's review of Joseph Frank's Dostoevsky: The Years of Ordeal, 1850–1859 in the February 2 issue should have referred to Alexander II, not Nicholas II, as having been the emperor under whom the serfs were freed.
