To the Editors:
Roger Shattuck rightly deplores the critical neglect of Michel Tournier's work [NYR, April 28], but is mistaken in asserting that none of his novels has appeared in paperback. The Ogre was published as a Dell Laurel Edition soon after its hardback publication by Doubleday.
