Letter

To the Editors:

The New York Review is the best publication of its kind I have seen. The over-all impression it makes is one of enlightened audacity; it should prove an example to other periodicals of its kind, and perhaps play its part in alleviating the state of turpitude and ineptness with which most American book-reviewing is afflicted. You have proved that journalism and good sense need not be foreigners to each other or to the literary scene.
