Nominations for the 1982 Dartmouth Medal close December 15, 1981. This annual award, donated by Dartmouth College and administered by a committee of the American Library Association’s Reference and Adult Services Division, honors achievement in creating reference works outstanding in quality and significance. Works published or otherwise made available for the first time during 1981 are the principal candidates for nominations.
