I enjoyed reading Mr. Steel’s review of the Bullitt biography in your issue of September 29 last. As mention is made of Bullitt’s marriage to Louise Bryant and to “Bryant’s biographer” (on page 16), it may be of interest that the biographer is Virginia Gardner, who wrote Friend and Lover: The Life of Louise Bryant (Horizon Press, 1982).
