To the Editors:
Credit where credit is due. In your issue dated November 2 you kindly published (not at my request) a correction stating that I alone have been responsible for editing the various collections of Isaiah Berlin’s work. While it is true that I have edited five such volumes, I also co-edited a sixth, Russian Thinkers, with Dr. Aileen Kelly, whose expert knowledge was indispensable; and I should add that two volumes, Four Essays on Liberty and Vico and Herder, were prepared by the author himself before my involvement began.
