In his review of Robert Skidelsky’s John Maynard Keynes: Fighting for Freedom, 1937–1946 [NYR, March 14], Alan Ryan’s estimate of the number of British civilians killed in German air raids during World War II was inaccurate. The correct figure is approximately 60,000.
