In Patrick Radden Keefe’s review of P.W. Singer’s book Corporate Warriors [NYR, August 12], a passage on page 49 about crimes committed in Bosnia in the late 1990s by military contractors read, “According to depositions before a recent trial, DynCorp purchased illegal weapons and passports on the open market, and bought women, some allegedly as young as twelve years old, to work as personal sex slaves.” The word “employees” was inadvertently missing: the passage should have read “DynCorp employees purchased illegal weapons.” We regret the error.
