On ‘Corruption’ and ‘Surveillance’

To the Editors:

The Center for Public Scholarship at The New School in New York City is hosting two events this fall:

“Corruption,” the 30th Social Research conference, with a keynote address by Peter Eigen, founder of Transparency International, will take place November 21–22.

“Surveillance in the US,” a discussion with New York Review contributors James Bamford, a journalist who has written about the NSA, and Kenneth Roth, executive director of Human Rights Watch, together with Martin Garbus, a First Amendment lawyer, will take place December 5 at 6:00 pm. More information is available at www.newschool.edu/cps/events.
