Less monumental in its purity and more subtle in its radicalism than L’avventura, Antonioni’s 1962 masterpiece showcases Monica Vitti as his moodiest, most evasive heroine, drifting out of one affair and into another with Alain Delon’s mercurial stockbroker—two beautiful creatures overshadowed by the blandly futuristic architecture of the film’s setting.

Showing on Friday November 9 at 7:30 PM and Sunday November 11 at 4:30 PM. Tickets are available at the Cinematheque starting 45 minutes before the screening.
