The “Memory Marathon” is the seventh in the Serpentine Gallery’s acclaimed Marathon series, which examines the “overlaps between artistic practice and scientific enquiry.” This multi-disciplinary event—a program of explorations and experiments designed “to unravel the complex and often conflicted notion of memory”—will feature a wide range of participants, including leading artists, architects, filmmakers, musicians, scientists, and writers. It will take place on October 13 and 14 in the Serpentine Gallery Pavilion 2012, designed by Ai Weiwei and the architectural firm Herzog & de Meuron.
The “Memory Marathon” will take place on October 13 from 12 PM-10 PM, and on October 14 from 11 AM-7 PM. Tickets can be purchased from Timeout or from the Serpentine Gallery lobby desk. Four hours of the “Memory Marathon” will also be broadcast live on The Space. For more information, please visit serpentinegallery.org.
