Busboys and Poets Bookstore presents Zena el Khalil, author of “Beirut, I Love You: A Memoir” (Washington, DC)

Peace Café is a Busboys and Poets program that offers an on-going series of events designed to bring together Arabs, Jews, and those interested in working toward a resolution to the conflict in the Middle East. This free event is open to the public.

TED fellow Zena el Khalil is a young Beirut-based female artist, writer, and activist who had an unconventional but worldly upbringing growing up in Lagos, Nigeria and attended art school in New York. After 9/11 she returned to her familial home of Beirut. Beirut, I Love You, is currently on its way to becoming a feature film and won every award at the Torino Film Lab.
