Watch That Man: David Bowie, Movie Star

You saw the museum show (or not); here are the films. The Man Who Fell to Earth, Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence, Absolute Beginners, and the others are matched with a selection of music videos, as well as two rarely seen BBC productions, an early Eighties musical version of Brecht’s Baal and a mid-Seventies portrait of the artist—speaking of which, Julian Schnabel’s Basquiat is worth seeing for Bowie’s impersonation of Andy Warhol alone.

A full schedule is available on the Film Society of Lincoln Center’s website.
