Ben Gazzara Retrospective
December 13, 2012 – December 23, 2012
The New York street kid who passed through the Actors Studio and created the role of Brick in the first Broadway production of Cat on a Hot Tin Roof (opposite Barbara Bel Geddes) died earlier this year. Anthology Film Archives honors his memory with a varied selection from his rich screen career—not just Anatomy of a Murder and the two Cassavetes films, but Phil Karlson’s The Young Doctors (1961) and the rarely screened Capone (1975), with Gazzara in the title role.
