Devil’s Night at McNally Jackson
Come celebrate Devil’s Night, as the night before Halloween is often called, at McNally Jackson as Susan Bernofsky discusses her translation of Jeremias Gotthelf’s The Black Spider, a book in which the devil has a big role, and his spider servants cause grievous mischief on a small Swiss hamlet. She will be in discussion with the artist and art historian Martha Friedman, expect Louise Bourgeois’s sculptural spiders to be invoked!
