Existential Love and Math
Mathematician Edward Frenkel and artist Laurent Derobert have both contemplated the passion, emotion, and infinite possibilities of mathematics in their work. Frenkel is the author of Love and Math: The Heart of Hidden Reality, reviewed by Jim Holt in the December 5, 2013 issue of the New York Review. Meanwhile, Derobert’s project, Existential Mathematics, attempts to express the search for happiness through the language of mathematics. Both will speak about their work, before joining a discussion moderated by internationally acclaimed artist Peter Coffin.
Tickets are $10 in advance or $12 on the day. For more information, please visit momaps1.org.
