Music at the Manoel Theatre

The first Valletta Baroque Festival in Malta ended on January 26 with a final concert in the city of Valletta's marvelously intact eighteenth-century Manoel Theatre, but the hope is to make this year's musical offering an annual event in a city where Baroque art and architecture are part of everyday life. In the meantime, those who wish to visit this wonderful theatre can see a double-bill of Pietro Mascagni's Cavalleria Rusticana and Ruggero Leoncavallo's Pagliacci in March.
