Saturdays Live: Design is a State of Mind

Programmed by the White Review, poets Eugene Ostashevsky, Holly Pester and Sophie Seita present readings in the Serpentine Sackler Gallery’s Powder Room. Eugene Ostashevsky is a Russian American poet, who contributed to The White Review 8. Typically, his performances are physically animated and often ventriloquial—in one of his poems he imagines a pirate’s conversation with his parrot. Holly Pester is currently artist in residence at the Women’s Art Library. Her first poetry collection, Hoofs, was published in 2011 and Folkslop, her next collection, is forthcoming. Sophie Seita writes poetry, short plays, translates German poetry and makes videos. She co-curates the unAmerican Activities Transatlantic Reading and Pamphlet Series.
