Shakespeare’s Life and Work, The Oskar Kristeller Lecture

Selected by Colin Thubron

April 29, 2012, 3:30 pm

A challenging look at the application of chronology to both Shakespeare’s life and work will be given at this year’s Oskar Kristeller Lecture at Columbia University on April 29th. Professor Margreta de Grazia, a leading Shakespearean scholar (and, as it happens, my wife), considers how the chronology unimaginable in Shakespeare’s time has become indispensable to our own.
