William Kentridge: The Refusal of Time

Margaret Koerner spoke last year with the South African artist William Kentridge and the American historian of science Peter Galison about their installation, “The Refusal of Time,” then opening in Kassel, Germany. The installation was the result of an extended series of discussions between Kentridge and Galison about “the history of the control of world time, relativity, black holes, and string theory.” It is now on view at the Met.
