WSB100: William S. Burroughs on Film

The film component of the Burroughs centennial celebration is a suitably outré mixed bag, including Taking Tiger Mountain (1983), a rediscovered 35mm feature co-written by Burroughs (from his Blade Runner script), a Swedish documentary of the writer’s early Eighties Scandinavian tour, Andre Perkowski’s three-hour, found footage Nova Express mash-up, a program of shorts by Stan Brakhage among others, and the reedited version of the silent classic Häxan: Witchcraft Through the Ages, inimitably narrated by WSB.
