FAQ: Electronic edition

I already subscribe to the Review's print edition. Do I get a discount on the electronic edition?

Yes. Print subscribers can subscribe to the electronic edition for just $20 per year, a 68% savings. You'll need to enter your subscriber number (from your mailing label) during the checkout process to qualify for the discount.

Will my subscription to the electronic edition expire at the same time as my print subscription?

A subscription to the electronic edition will expire one year from the date it begins. If you purchase a single article from the archives it will be available to you for one week from the date of your order.

If I sign up for a subscription to the electronic edition, can I share my account and password with my friends and colleagues?

No. That would violate the terms of service that you agree to when subscribing, and thus be grounds for termination of your account. But it's really not such a good idea anyway. Anyone who signs on to the site as you could change your email address and password, preventing you from using your account; order items from our online bookstore using your credit card; and so on.

Can I post articles from the archives on my own site, or reprint them elsewhere?

All material on this site is copyrighted by NYREV, Inc. Further reproduction without written permission from the publisher is strictly prohibited. For classroom use or other permission requests, please contact permission@nybooks.com.

My university (library, company, etc.) has a subscription to the print edition. Can we subscribe to the electronic edition for use by the students (faculty, library patrons, employees, etc.)?

Yes. Please complete the form at http://www.nybooks.com/libraries, and a sales representative will contact you with details about pricing and licensing.

Can I order a subscription to the electronic edition as a gift for someone else?

Sorry, no. The electronic edition is not available as a gift.
