Throughout the years, the Village has been home to many writers, intellectuals, and artists closely associated with the Review, among them W. H. Auden, James Baldwin, Edmund Wilson, Mary McCarthy, and Joseph Brodsky. Also, the works of scores of other Village residents, including Henry James, Djuna Barnes, Eugene O’Neill, James Baldwin, and Dawn Powell, have been reviewed in our pages. The Literary Greenwich Village Tote features a beautiful vintage map of Greenwich Village, where our office is located, and neighborhood sites associated with these and many more writers. (We also mark the sites of a few historic watering holes.) The tote is sturdy but lightweight, ideal for shopping and, of course, carrying your favorite books. It’s made of water-resistant woven polypropylene and measures a generous 15.75” w x 15.35” h x 5.9” d.
