The New York Review of Books seeks a part-time typesetter to work 10 to 20 hours a week on nights and Fridays. Must be proficient in Adobe InDesign and Microsoft Word. Duties include keying in edits on manuscripts and galleys, and styling magazine copy. The ideal candidate would be a champion speller, book-lover, quick learner, and patient with handwritings of varying legibility. Must have a flexible schedule and be amenable to hours that change with our fortnightly production schedule. Congenial, intellectually stimulating setting in the West Village. Rate is $18 per hour.
