In your April 28 issue, I reviewed Martin Schram’s Running For President in its first (paperback) edition, though the publisher’s information was given for the second (hardcover) edition, scheduled to be published May 2. The first edition appeared before the election; the second is almost twice as long, and contains valuable new information (much of it derived, apparently, from Patrick Anderson and Greg Schneiders). This obviates my objection to the proportion between Carter and non-Carter material, and makes Schram’s the best book to have appeared on the 1976 campaign.
