Geoffrey Grigson, who properly bemoaned the absence of a satisfactory edition of the poems of Christina Rossetti in his review of Stanley Weintraub’s Four Rossettis, will I hope be pleased to learn that such an edition is currently in preparation. R. W. Crump, of the English Department at Louisiana State University, has for several years been working on a Complete Poems, and we will publish the first volume of this three-volume variorum edition this fall. The next two volumes will appear at regular intervals. We agree, incidentally, with Mr. Grigson’s comments concerning the use of double columns, and we intend to allow the poems the room they need to be properly appreciated.
