General Wesley K. Clark, USA (Ret.), was Supreme Allied Commander, Europe, from 1997 to 2000, a military analyst for CNN from 2001 to 2003, and is chairman of Wesley K. Clark & Associates. The article in this issue is based on his new book, Winning Modern Wars: Iraq, Terrorism, and the American Empire, to be published this month by Public Affairs, a member of the Perseus Books Group.
