To the Editors:
Some of your readers may be interested to learn of The New York Browning Society’s appeal for funds to be used in preserving Casa Guidi, Florentine home of Robert and Elizabeth Barrett Browning.
At the moment we are only $30,000 shy of our goal. Without this amount we are unable to go forward at the May 1 deadline which has been set by the owners of the property.
If any of your readers care to join the thousand contributors who have already helped in this cause we will be grateful. Donations are tax-deductible under the provisions of the internal revenue code.
