Greatly Exaggerated

By Edgar Z. Friedenberg

In response to Kids Without a Country* (January 6, 1966)

To the Editors:

To my intense delight, if also to my embarrassment, I have received a post card from Professor Henry A. Murray informing me that, in my recent review of The Uncommitted, I have unintentionally exaggerated the reports of his death. Far from being "late," Professor Murray is, as usual, a bit ahead of many of us. I am afraid that, at the University of California, we are sometimes inclined to rely too heavily on the "publish or perish" apothegm.
