The Fate of Kudirka from the March 7, 1974 issue                                                  

To the Editors:

I refer to V. Bielski’s letter (NYR, March 7) about “the fate of Kudirka.” Mr. Bielski asks whether Amnesty International has any information on his case. We have considerable information about this unfortunate sailor and he has been adopted as a prisoner of conscience since January, 1972, by Amnesty groups in West Germany and Sweden.
