John Leonard

John Leonard (1939–2008) was a literary and cultural critic. He was the editor of The New York Times Book Review and the literary editor of The Nation, and the author of twelve books. In 2006 he received the Ivan Sandrof Lifetime Achievement Award from the National Book Critics Circle.
