Alex de Waal is Executive Director of the World Peace Foundation at the Fletcher School, Tufts University. His books include Famine Crimes: Politics and the Disaster Relief Industry in Africa and Mass Starvation: The History and Future of Famine. Along with Bridget Conley, Catriona Murdoch, and Wayne Jordash KC, he is most recently coeditor of Accountability for Mass Starvation: Testing the Limits of the Law. (September 2022)
